bougainvillea flowers

Trying to get my bougainvillea to flower, anything else I need to do other than water, sun, more sun, and even more sun? I try to get it direct sun almost everyday for about 4+ hours and water every couple days. Are there any other tricks perhaps? Thanks.

Mine flower no problem

I have several Beaugies and they flower most of the time. Some get full sun, others almost no direct sun (at the moment), but lots of light. Watered daily in summer but now down to every 3 days.
Fertilize fortnightly with "Charlie Carp" and they are all thriving

I have heard and i may be wrong, but in order to get them to flower they need to dry out abit. Like i said i could be wrong. I have 2 that are flowering right now, and before they flowered i allowed them to dry out abit and they flowered, now i water them normally.

Funnily enough I have just bought myself one which is in flower, so I have been reading up about them & It said in 1 book exactly what Ronny said.
And to keep the water restricted while it's in flower

Boggies seem to thrive on begin neglect. Leave them alone and they will grow and flower almost by themselves.

A little fertilizer high in phosphorus helps. I use a 10-60-10 fertilizer myself.

Water sparingly

A couple weeks ago at the Potomac show I asked Hugh Meehan AGAIN ( just to see if I got the same answer again! )how they got all their bougies to bloom for sales at shows .
His reply, as before, was to let them go dry to the point of wilt between waterings!
This can be risky, but I guess the proof is the flowers on every tree!

I read that same thing on several occasions also, but figured it'd be better to ask people who have actually tried drying them out before risking the chance. Thank you much to everyone that replied with suggestions. Ill post some macros if/when I get it to bloom well.

Just bought a Pixii in a trining pot. Can I and should I repot into bonsai pot after flowering? Or is there a correct time for repotting?

Thanks
John
