Exclamation BonsaiTALK Classifieds!

I've just added a wanted & for sale section to bonsaiTALK.

Here you can post your ads for bonsai related items and services that you have for sale or hire.

Check it out here:

http://forsale.bonsaitalk.com

This section is moderated, so ads will be reviewed before posting. We don't handle any transactions here, just put the buyer and seller in touch with each other.

Please help make this a success for us by posting an ad with a bonsai related product or service.

I divided it into three main categories - North America, Europe and Australiasia

The US category section is really fleshed out with different areas for plants, starters, suiseki, tools, and so forth. I left the other two geographic regions as generic categories until we get some inputs and see how it goes.

Currently there is no charge for this service to buyer or seller. We hope to keep it that way, but it all depends on donations and banner ads right now, and that's a model may or may not work.

The important thing is that people make use of this service.

This tool is still in "BETA," which means it may not work perfectly. That's how you can help by placing an ad or contacting a seller.

Later, we'll be publicizing these user ads, probably at random, on related pages of the forum.

Your ideas for new categories and implementation are welcome

Check it out, have fun:

Matt,
Is there a way to remove the items once they have been sold? If it runs just like the forum, we should be able to click delete post once we have sold the item.

There is a SOLD IT! link that appears to the seller. Sellers should also be able to delete or edit their own items. There is also an expiration when items will disappear (Selected by the seller at 15, 30, 60, 90 days) but items can be relisted.

Classifieds has not much in common with the forum at the moment other than sharing the same user database.

Regards,

Matt

Hey, Matt.
Did you get rid of the "Wanted" section? I can't seem to locate it.

Thanks,
