Bonsai Wedding In October!

Anita Hawkins and I are pleased to announce that we are engaged to be
married at my church here in Blooming Grove, New York on October 16,
2004 at 11 AM. This obviously is thrilling to both of us and our
families. We're inviting members of the IBC to attend, (because that's how we met) as long as we have an RSVP by Sept. 1.

This has all happened because of the IBC and we will be forever grateful
for that. This all started when Anita won the auction for the collected
honeysuckle I auctioned off last spring. She was coming through the
area and stopped to pick it up instead of having me ship it.

This will be a bonsai wedding! My best trees, her best trees, and our
bonsai friends who indirectly and unknowingly have helped to make this
happen. As a part of our celebration we are inviting bonsai friends to
bring a favorite tree or two with them for an informal exhibition
during the wedding reception. A viewing stone is good too if you wish.
We'll need to know in advance who is bringing a tree or stone so we can
plan on the right number of tables. Bring your own
display stands! It won't be one of those receptions
with loud obnoxious DJs, just lunch and a chance for everyone to visit. We
will have tables around the perimeter of the room for the exhibit

We'll be honeymooning in Maine and Arizona, and perhaps might see some of you out there.
Thank you, everyone, and we hope to see some of you at the wedding!

Here's a picture of us in front of my big honeysuckle that we call the "ring tree." See the next post for that.

Ok. The reason why it's now the "ring tree" is because when I proposed to her I
guided her over to the tree, which is my sumo honeysuckle. In a hollow on the tree
awaited a mud lady with the ring around her!

Well. Best to you both.

I find it an incredible romatic story. the best thing for a couple is to share a passion and you have your own

Your wedding will be beautiful for sure.

It would be a bit far for me to attend and I dont think the american customs woud be too happy for me to bring a tree or two.
Nonetheless Best of luck to both of you.
