Bonsai Vendors In Or Around Las Vegas
Hey people! I'm planning to make a trip to Las Vegas next month and was wondering if anyone knew of any bonsai nurseries in the area. I'll be there for a couple of days and if I have money to spend, I'd rather blow in on bonsai rather than blackjack. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
Gilbert

I am not sure about bonsai vendors, but if you want to pick up some suiseki there are many rock stores outside of Las Vegas. I never stopped by one, but I am sure they have some nice hidden stones for relatively low prices there.

Gilbert, I have been to Las Vegas many times. Sorry, but you won't find a stinking thing to do with bonsai in or near Las Vegas. Those rock shops that Charles mentions..while numerous, sell crystal's and things and not much in the way of suiseki. I was able to search in the desert near Puhrump, about 50 miles north of LV and found a few things, but nothing worthy. I can post a photo of the one good stone if you want.
If you could find your way to Southern Cal., you would be in bonsai heaven. The Women, glittering lights, free flowing booze and the sound of dice on the felt will have to do for the bonsai enthusiast! Good Luck in Glitter Gulch, Al

There is a rather good sized bonsai club in LV so I bet there is at least a bit of bonsai there ;o) Contact me by PM if you want and I'll give you the contact address for the club |

I'd love to see Cal one of these days Al. I'd also like to see what you've found there if you're able to post it. I'm sure there has to be some interesting rocks for saikei in the area.
I'd like that info Ron. I'll send you a PM. Thanks! Gilbert
