Marty Mann's gingko (it's BIG), a trident planting in which three trees are growing out of a cracked rock, and an elm.

It was hard to take pictures of the junipers because in some cases there are no backgrounds behind the trees. Here are a couple more... a Hollywood juniper group, a pine, and a twisted pomegranate.

So that was our day at the Huntington. The grounds of the Huntington are stunning, full of marble sculpture and bronze, of theme gardens and countless specimen trees, with rolling acreage and Palladian architecture.

We talked with theelmboy (hi Chris!!) who bought an awesome liquidambar and a little shimpaku, but didn't see anyone else from the forum.

Hi Joanie, I had intended to make it today, but I still have a pleurisy in the right lung. Very painful. Thanks for taking me thru your day!

I hope to be up and about soon. I have been pretty sick since Feb. 1st. First shingles, then phnumonia, now a pleurisy! What next?

I guess just kick the dirt in the hole...

Out..Al

ooohhh that sounded bad. See, sick and still a sense of humor...

Joanie, Thanks for taking the pictures and puting them in the forum. A lot of effort was involved and it is appreciated. What a great place to spend the day.
