If i'm not mistaken the rapper Ludacris had a bonsai tree in his bathroom.I remeber seeing on an episode of MTV Cribs. More than likely someone probaly takes care of it for him though.

Apparently Saddam Hussein has taken to caring for small trees and shrubs during his incarceration. I don't know if it counts, but it is close.

I have never seen Boomhower at a Dallas meeting, maybe he is a Ft. Worth club member?

This doesn't count as celebrity bonsai, but it's close. Last year my club, Yama Ki Bonsai Society in Stamford, CT held its yearly exhibition at the New York Botanic Gardens in the Bronx. A movie with Meryl Streep (I think it was "The Manchurian Candidate", but not sure) was being filmed there. Streep took a walk through one morning and spent some time looking at the trees and was very impressed!

The next question, of course, is whether any of the trees made it into the film. I don't know. The filming was done in part right in the area where the trees were, in a rotunda in the main building where there are some really big bananna trees, but I think somebody told me that the angle of shooting did not include the trees. If anyone has seen the film (has it come out yet??) it would be fun to watch for scenes in the Botanic Gardens and report back!
