Bonsai on Balcony

Im a total beginner...

I have my outdoor Bonsai (5 finger pine) on the balcony, but im worried that it will never get rain as it is sheltered by the upper floor. How does one tackle this problem when one lives high in the sky.

I was laughing to myself as I held my bonsai out into the open for a few mins, so it could get some rain.

Cheers - Simon

As long as it is getting full sun, you can water yourself. If you desire rain water, rig up a way to collect it and then use it to water.

I grow all my bonsai on a fully covered balcony . . . I just water from overhead with a fine nozzled watering can. The tree can't tell if the water is from the can or a cloud!
