Green Leaf Beautiful Bonsai Art

I don't know if this is the right place for this, but I thought that I should share it. This is an image scanned from my local newspaper (NH Union Leader). I cleaned it up as best I could, but it is from a newspaper, so the quality is somewhat marginal.

This is the 21st century, and this collage is a sad statement.

Huh?

How is it "a sad statement"? Of what?

Try backwards looking, and this fair piece says nothing, of which any artwork worth it's salt must do....and that's enough!

It may be not to everyones taste, but to me this is an abstract representation of a tree which may be or not a bonsai. However it is very clever and not offensive to me at all.

Art is not what one sees, but is a view of the creator and how it is interpreted in their own way or style.

For the product of a high school student it is quite well done. Most youth aged 14-17 could not do as well. Then again I am somewhat bias...

I like it. Don't know why, but I do. Reminds me of one of those architectural models. I have actually been thinking of making a dai for a peice of petrified wood based on a similar slotted design,...when I get the camera I will virtual images to find out wether it work or not.
OK back to the original thread discussion,....sorry.
