i was just wondoring if it was just me or did everyone else get this while trying to access this site, i got some error which said that the bandwidth had been exceeded. might have just been a problem with the site though, i dunno.

The reported error was correct, and it did reflect a problem with the site.

bonsaiTALK.com consumed 28 Gigabytes this past month and hit the stops. They've upped us to a 30GB limit, but in the meantime I have had to make a change - the Gallery images will not be visible to unregistered guests. They can still see the thumbnails, though.

Regards,

Matt

Thanks Andy,

Bandwidth is the volume of the data tranferred by the server. It isn't actually the space the files take up on the server. But it does relate to the size of the files and the frequency with which they're accessed.

Regards,

Matt

basically its like if you have a download/upload limit on your internet connection, but for the site.

Wow Matt, that's quite a bit of volume. Busy little place you have here.

I don't know if this is related to the bandwith problem? I was checking the gallery and on recent images there appeared a message on John Dixon's photo that said the thumbnail wasn't available. I saw the tree in a post but can't in the gallery

Maybe this is too technical for me and I should just ignore it

I don't think so. It just had a problem during upload. John emailed me about it, so I deleted the partial photo.

Regards,

Matt

Andy,
If you want to delete a photo in your gallery just click on 'Report Photo". Give reason as [DUPLICATE OR OUTDATED PHOTO], and tell Matt that you want to save him space. I report my photos quite often. I probably update them more than I need to.
