Look up Flibri's post's he has lots on Gums. Also do a Google on a particular native as Bonsai. There is plenty of info available. Pup

Gday Maharg, and welcome to bonsaiTALK!

Keep an eye out for a book called "Bonsai with Australian Native Plants" by Vita and Dorothy Koreshoff. Also, articles here at bonsaiTALK by a Member called peterh might be of interest. Check the links in my signature for some great images of Oz Native Bonsai.

Good luck.

Fly.

G'day Graham,

I'm an expat living in Amsterdam, and I successfully grow Aussie Bottle trees as bonsai as well as Syzigiums [Lilly-pillys], not to mention various Oz Ficus varieties, can't or not yet find any Gums, well not over here. Lindsay, Bonsaifarm.tv could quite quickly put you on the right track, I reckon.

All best,
Nigel

Hi Graham,

Ive written a small article on Eucalyptus nicholii which was given to "Australian Native Plants as Bonsai Study Group". It may be published in the next newsletter. Also my local club has a copy for thier newsletter.
