Ash identification

I have a few small ash that i collected from my friends back garden and i was wondering if somebody could help me identify them? I've been looking on the internet for different species and none math. My ash have 5-7 leaflets per leaf, and the central vein which connects the leaflets is almost black on newer growth. Any ideas? My initial thought was black ash, fraxinus nigra but there aren't enough leaflets on mine.

I'll try and post a few pictures within a day or two.

thanks
Al
