articles in a binder

i got an idea the other day from ozzerbon (nigel) in this. anyway, i understand that nigel collects pictures of trees he likes from the net, prints the pictures, and then keeps them in some sort of binder.

over the past year, ive been printing articles like crazy from the net, and it finally hit me that i should be saving all these articles in a binder so that i can go back and cross-reference all these techniques/ideas/thoughts and see if i cant make them work for me.

so my question is: do you keep any useful/interesting articles you have found from the net in a binder or file? if so, could you post a link?

some of my favorite articles...

Japanese Black Pines from Seedlings
Ficus Techniques and Ideas
Lesson #2: Developing the form
Training Pots 101
Florida Bonsai

anyway, these are some of the articles i have.

I have been saving information off the net, and through Emails from some Bonsai Buddies.

I created a file in Word for windows, and of all things, I call it, "BONSAI".
Each document is info on specific trees that are in my collection. I place a "1" in front of the name., ie "1-Bougainvillea". I place a "2" in front of information of a general horticulture nature., etc.

If and when I see information that I wish to add to (say my Bougainvillea document), I cut and paste it to the bottom of the document.

Every month I burn a Back-up CD of all my files including the Bonsai files...

I also have a word document, which is a daily dairy, from repotting to fertilizing with a place for dates when to check for removing wiring, checking on air layering etc.

I've got over 300 web pages bookmarked/Favorites in my browser.
Not exactly totally organized but it's sorted into 2-3 dozen folders.
But still, way too many. I think they need cleaned out desperately.

You can also save any given Webapage to your computer to look at whenever you want, offline. You don't have to print them out.

Jeff,

I print stuff off and file it in binders so I can sit in my easy chair during the winter and leaf thru the binders. I have three binders and a journal.

Pictures of my trees ordered by tree then date
Pictures of trees from the web (both bonsai and found in nature)
How to Tips and Tricks from the web
Journal
