Arbortech mini-grinder Vs Samurai

Are they similar in function and comparable?

Which one will you go for? What's your experience with them?

The Arbortech is easily available in Australia.

How about the Samurai, are they, or any similar product, available in australia?

I have used the Arbortec Large grinder 4" and it is wonderful to remove really large amounts of material quickly. The Mini grinder apparently is almost as good but can get into much smaller places.
I have never heard of the Samurai sorry

Thumbs up

I have and use both sizes of Arbotech.
I find that they are very useful for the removal of large amounts of material as Ken has said.
I find the Dremel to be very good for refining work. It is not powerful enough for heavy work.
Although Dremel make a die grinder that is, it also has a flexible shaft.
A friend uses his with a Samurai he said it works very well.
I hope this helps and does not confuse. Always wear a mask work in a open space. I have a vacum cleaner in my workshop so I use that so I do not spread the dust around.
Yes I do vacum my clothes.
I also use it on my needle junipers!!!

How about the best of both worlds. The 'Samurai' cutter is now made to be fitted to replace the standard cutters on the mini-grinder. It outperforms both the standard cutters on mini grinder and the optional carbide tipped cutter for it.
BTW,You cannot move this to a die grinder. You need the Samurai w/ 1/4"/6mm shaft for that.
Also, the new 'Ninja Master' is a primo cutting tool. Note the Samurai and Ninja Master shown together in scale.

Dale, at a recent workshop I tried the one you sold to Bob Neems

NICE! Almost effortless, smooth, and found it very easy to control, can you tell I liked it.

McSpeed,
Yes, they are usually smooth and effortless if used correctly. Kind of like a chain saw!
Most wood carving tools are pretty smooth to use.

then....
there is always the guy who 'lays' on the die grinder to make it cut 'better'

Usually the same guy who 'lays' on his chain saw!!

There is kind of, much smaller and less sophisticated, a 3 cutter head no replacement cutters though, with the 1/8" shaft. There was another thread on this where Dale showed the small cutter.
