I never saw any follow-up on the Ginkgo Awards

Matt, you did miss it. The Ginko pictures (about 50 of them) were posted to the IBC. Unfortunetly the organizers decided that it was not allowable. Walter can give you more details and info...

There will be a book!

I guess folks don't understand that the online photos would promote the purchase of a book of beautiful bonsai. I think few would purchase it on the strength of word-of-mouth.

Matt very well said. I never knew about this book. If I had, at the price it will be at, I would not be interested not knowing what the trees or what the content is.

Now knowing what the trees look like, or at least about 50 of them, I am inclined to think about purchasing it. So the on line pictures help... no suprise to us here. But, I guess the publisher and organizer of the event aren't convinced!

Same here. I saved them as soon as I saw they were up. I don't think we down here in Oz wold even get a chance to purchase the book they would publish.
