Another bonsai movie

Here is a brief bonsai movie in Windows Media Player format. *It's 1/2 meg, but it might stream successfully if you have sufficient bandwidth

Click Here For the Movie *

If you have a low bandwidth connection, it might have to download first. *If all else fails I suppose you could rightclick and save as and then open in a new window.

This is a test. This is only a test

Anyway, please let me know if it was or was not successful for you.

Re: Another bonsai movie

Matt, it worked fine. A little slow to buffer but after it started playing it did ok. I've got cable so speed is not a problem on this end.

Now for the clip itself. What's with all the greened out and redded out frames? It was certainly fast paced.

Re: Another bonsai movie

Matt: This looks like the right direction but a long way to go.
Extend the information bits on each frame and use fade in and out between subjects and this will go much smoother.

Re: Another bonsai movie

I've got Win XP and IE6, but it still worked fine !!!
Maybe this is a bug that Microsoft hasn't solved yet

I'm with the others, the video was a bit blurred. I have a 256 kb/s ADSL-connection so it loaded in about 5 secs.

Re: Another bonsai movie

Hi Matt,
Quicktime for MAC didn"t read this file, which is .WMV, and I don't know if Quicktime is supposed to read this type of file extension, or if my Quicktime isn't functioning properly, and I have to re-install. Do you have a direct link to the web page where you found it to click on the original movie from the original web page to see if it might work from there?
Hope this is helpful to you.
Obviously, I'm enjoying bonsaitalk very much.
Regards,

Robert.......from Sta.Cruz (you know me from Midori)

Re: Another bonsai movie

Hi Robert

I tried authoring this in Quicktime, too. It looked great, but ran about 4 megs.

You can grab a version of the Windows Media Player for MAC OS-X here:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/wi...oad/default.asp Just select OS-10 from the pulldown menu and you should get a screen that says

Windows Media Player for Mac OS X Click to Download.

When it installs it if asks if it should be the default player for any format OTHER than ASF, ASX, WMF, WMV and the other microsoft formats, just say no. That will preserve your Quicktime preferences.

It's a pretty healthy download 6-megs, and it would probably take about 10 minutes by modem. WMP is good because it doesn't try to take over your machine like RealPlayer seems to want to do.

Regards,

Matt

Re: Another bonsai movie

Matt,

It took about 45 seconds to load, and then it played fine. I'm using a 56K analog modem here and XP/IE6. Indeed a bit blurry here and there. Is this your garden ??
