There still has to be a vote from the general membership. If I am not wrong a ballot of some kind will mailed out to the members.

I don't recall ever having seen such a ballot. I suspect that the vote is at the annual meeting (at the do in DC?), and probably verbal. (Someone moves for the election of the slate of nominees, and everyone says "aye".)

Does this mean you'll be at the do in DC? It will be good to see you again. I've been wondering about what liberation from those "airline" booze bottles might have done for you.

Ron, You MUST have agreed to the post in the past!

adam,
The nominees will be posted in the Spring edition of Journal. Along with those agreeing to serve a second term ( you can serve two)
Finalized at WBC05 in Wash.DC in May.
Terms are overlapped so as old leave new come in and some are still mid-term.

Nope this is a first time for me.
I do seem to remember seeing a ballot of some kind in the past though.
At least you have given the right information. Now we know what is going on
Thanks

Dale,

It was more like I was presented with an intolerable option or leave.

It's been a few years but I think it was in a context of rules and standards. I made a statement to the effect that "Most American bonsai suck".

If you ask me the moderator must have had a guilty conscious.

The private response from the moderator was kind of like "Sucks" is unacceptable language, this is an adult forum after all. We won't tolerate deviations from absolute political correctness. You are invited to subject all your posts to screening if you like..."

I took option "B"...

I should have filed a lawsuit for discrimination against the handicapped. I have Turret's Syndrome. Honest. >

You should have told them "You stupid f@#%-ers, I'm not trying to be rude to any of you %#@holes, it is just my limited experience with the language."

Being Texan and all, you just might have an fair argument there.

That just means I can only pack a snub-nose...

I can't help my environment... I'm born and raised in NY, my biological Dad was in the Navy, so were all my brothers... How can I do anything BUT speak truckdriver?

Besides kids, the word was used in a grammatically correct sentence... Probably a first for my adopted state!
