All deer deterrent enthusiasts:

Article on coyote pee as deer deterrents in gardens, with added info on human pee. Assume squirrels are dumber than deer and less likely to be afraid...

Earthgirl,

I wonder where a "coyote urine collector" lies on the space time continuum? Now THERE's an occupation...

I was actually wondering about that.

A couple of years ago, one of my dogs was sick and the vet instructed me to bring in a urine sample from her.

I tried. I will not go into detail. The neighbors must have thought I was looney and my dog didn't look me in the eye for a couple of days.

I can't imagine how the process would work with a wild animal with sharp teeth!

Once, while visiting at the famous racecourse in England (Newmarket) I asked a trainer how they collected urine for the test sample. He looked at me.... rather askance... and answered that sooner or later, the horse has to go. And someone is there with a sort of bucket on a long handle.

Wonder if that's a union job?

What do you put on the "occupation" line on your loan application?

Canine urea engineer?

I have also had this lovely experience when my dog was sick. A ziplock baggie and hip waders helped
