Hi Leesa, I will be making a few of them this year. I will be donating one to the GSBF Convention. I will save one for you!

The first coats of stain go on. I use three different stains to achieve the color that I am looking for. Dark walnut, red mahogany, and Brazilian rosewood. When this dries after three days, I will rub it out with oil and 800 grit pumice. Then the finnish will go on.

Closeup showing the depth of this color. This is about a close to rosewood as one can get without buying it. This is only poplar mind you!

Al, you're breaking my heart showing those pics. I absolutely love the stand, the feet, the stain, everything. Unbelievable work.

Al, I hate to say this but your stand needs alot of work and has many serious flaws. Tell you what, I'll save you the trouble of trying to fix it and just take it off your hands. That way you can start fresh and just put this fiasco out of your head

But really, looks great. I'd ask to special order one but I'm sure I can't afford your work.
