What is Jack Pine???
I bought one of those little "grow your own bonsai tree" kits. This is my first tree and it's just starting to poke out of the dirt. I need to know everything. First of all: I've looked all over and no web site mentions Jack Pine seeds. Second: Where can I get 100% bonsai soil? Third: When do I repot it? I am full of questions and need some answers!

Re: What is Jack Pine???
This one does. *You can use the search feature at upper left and type in JACK PINE *the first few links may be to this message and a couple others, but then you'll hit the material.
There is a link here for soil http://www.memobug.com/treebay/cgi-bin/YaBB/YaBB.cgi?board=soils&action=display&num=1020389349 Repot in Fall after leaves fall, or in spring before buds open. Check the ***FAQ*** and bonsaiTALK Links - > Beginners and ->Techniques ->Repotting for more info Regards, Matt Regards, Matt
