Using rubber bands to secure a tree?
Could I use rubber bands? It will still hold the roots to the rock and it is pretty soft? all answers will be appreciated. thanks.

I guess that would work, i've never tried it myself. It would probably take a lot of rubber bands to hold all the roots in place. You can find the raffia at most any crafts store if you want to go that route.

Most people are using cling wrap to bind their roots. You can buy this stuff in the stationary dept of say K-mart. You can get it about 3 inches wide. You can wrap the roots and stretch this stuff and it will even mold into the crevices.

I have found that you realy have to apply preasure to roots to get them to form to the stone. Rubber bands will break down too quickly to do a realy good job.
