PLEASE HELP!!
[glow=purple,2,300] [color=Pink:082b5b7b0a] *I've seen a few pictures of bonsais lately, mine is only 12, it's an ulmus parvifolia and it's in a "broom" style. What more cool shape can I do than this, and what month shall I do it? Please help! * * * * * * [/color:082b5b7b0a][/glow] * |

Re: PLEASE HELP!!
hi ya,
i have just bought an ulmus parvifolia too (chinese elm), mines only 6yrs old (aarrrr). anyways, unfortunately i dont think they go very well in other styles, however i totally ignored this and have began changing its shape, pruning it like hell, and have even attempted a graft. If it looks good as it is in that style, then leave it and just keep it refined If you feel creative then do what i've done ![]() Hope this helps Rich. ![]() |

Re: PLEASE HELP!!
If your chinese elm is already a broom style its best to leave it be and keep it trimmed up. Unless your a japanese or chinese master who really no's what he is doing.

Re: PLEASE HELP!!
Or virtually... Have you seen what these guys can do with Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop?
If you can take a picture it would be best for the virtual bonsai'ists if it had a solid background color. Zeb
