I would guess Japanese Black Pine.
Whatever, it is a pine, and they should be outside. If it's been inside long it will need to be acclimatized.

Red Leaf ?

i was given the seedling in july, and have kept it inside since, some of the needles haev gone straw coloured, but none have dropped yet. it's snowing here at the moment, (uk), would it be a good indea to put it outside or wait?

i was unsure as to whether it was a pine or a larch, the needles are growing sideways rahter than upwards, making me think it was a larch, is this correct? is there an easy way to tell the difference?
thanks for your help
