New to Bonsai...
Hey guys,
Great forum you have going here.... Anyways, I sort of dove into the art of Bonsai over christmas break when I recieved a sago palm bonsai. It is a great plant and but is not the type of bonsai challenge I am looking for. Today I visited Bonsai West in Littleton, MA (great place) and purchased a Trident Maple pre-bonsai. I am surprised at how hearty this young plant seems already. I will post a picture of the pre-bonsai soon but I am just looking for style suggestions. I was anticipating a formal broom style but a book I just purchased says that broom style is difficult for trident maples. Thanks for any and all help. -T

Welcome to the glorious world of bonsai, T!
The usual suggestions for a bonsai newbie is to read a few books and join your nearest club. In the meantime, cruise around bonsaiTALK and check out the gallery and ask all the questions you can think of. pootsie |
