I was looking for the tpye of bonsai i have. Thanks for the suggestion tho =-P

Anyone know anything about this particular type of bonsai? Not sure how it grows. looks like a log with one stem coming from the top. Kinda wondering why there are 4 in one bonsai pot.

The tag just said bonsai on it with no information to the type. it said corey nurseries type d or something

Ming arila is correct. Treat it the same as a schefflora.

thanks for the reply! I searched for it but could only find the larger form of the tree. What are some popular styles with this type of bonsai? I've set it up with copper wire and weights and trimmed some of the bigger leafs. Not sure if i was supposed to start already but i wanted to work on it asap. I'm gonna let it grow for a month or 2 before i adjust.

Thanks again for the info and suggestions!

at the risk of being flamed PATIENCE is a key word in bonsai, bonsai techniques practiced at the wrong time, even if done well can kill a tree, as well as too many bonsai techniques in certain time frames can kill a tree. Use the months mentioned above to do some research on our craft, before you do more, it'll save you some heartache.

Where did you buy them from?

They don't look natural at all the way they are cut like that, they look like a cut money tree, or pachira. Looking natural is one of the many basic bonsai principles. Not your fault though.

They are all in one pot because someone thought it looked cool. You may want to repot them separate...
