My son Christian's jade bonsai

My youngest son would like some input on this tree. It was purchased as a starter from a local bonsai nursery. We potted it and then pruned it. He would like to know what you think. It is probably about 2-3 years old.

Jess and Christian.

Re: My son Christian's jade bonsai

Good suggestions BN, and don't forget no frost on the jade plant and don't keep it damp for extended periods or you can get a mean case of root crown rot.

On styling, you might consider at the next replant to bring the trunk out of the soil at a slight angle. That orientation may add interest and lead to some styling possibilities. The vertical trunk may suit the plant at this time.

Regards,

Matt
