Let them grow?

I just bought these on eBay. I'm pretty sure, that I should just let them grow for a long time. Let me know what you think.

XRIS,
What are you planning for these trees, and what are they? The one on the right looks like it has a nice start on taper. What are the nebari like? If you want to start a forest planting, you're good, but if you want something else, yes, you should let them grow out. Let us know what they are and what you're plan is for them [ they look like Trident Maple?]. Good luck and have fun!

They're both trident maples. I was thinking informal upright, or possibly root over rock.

haha funny, I saw these on Ebay earlier today. I know little on Tridents; reading up on them wouldnt do any harm for both of us.

Here's a start: http://www.bonsai-bci.com/species/trident.html

I was originally bidding on a set of three, but lost the bid war. These two ended 3 minutes later and I was determined not to lose them. I probably paid too much, but I wasn't going to lose.

They are young enough and small leafed enough, that you could pretty much transform them into just about anything you want. Or let them grow out for a future chopping. In many ways they are more tolerant than Palmatums.
