Is A Layer Of Stones/grit Required?
When you repot a bonsai is it really required to put a layer of stones on the bottom of the pot?

No, it's not. It's much more important to sift or wash the fines out of the bonsai soil.

Ok thanks Matt. Next time I go to the Bonsai store I might buy a sieve. Im pretty sure Ive got a bit of money ill ask dad to drive me to the store next week when the school holidays start.
