Juniper Health

I have a Juniper I purchased from a nursery a little while ago. It has a few small brown spots. I have been misting it and watering when the soil is dry, but I have had it inside next to a window. With it being winter, would it be all right if I left it outside? I am in Sacramento, so the weather does not get too cold (I think I read the Juniper is ok as long as it does not drop below 20 degrees). I know that rain cannot count as watering as the water won't find its way to the roots... does anyone have an opinion on whether it would be better for me to leave it outside throughout the day?

[i:bc87f2115f]americanchowder[/i:bc87f2115f],
welcome to the forum.
The juniper should do better outside, year around. Bonsai = outside (mostly). Sometimes the heater in your home can contribute to drying out & the brown spots. Rain can count, it just depends how much...we've been getting a bit of rain here & my stuff won't hardly dry out.
As usual, let me say wait 'til some of the vets post to take action, I'm a rookie (see screen name [img:bc87f2115f]http://www.theunholytrinity.org/cracks_smileys/contrib/ruinkai/shinner.gif[/img:bc87f2115f])

AmChowder,
You make me hungry! I love clam chowder especially the kind you can get at Souplantion, So creamy so dreamy so...
Sorry, Ah yes once again The hackman has hit a homer! Great advice. Bonsai=outside(mostly) Couldn't of put it better!
Also don't underestimate the power of rain. A good ole soak from her mother naturesness can be as good a fertilzation to perk up a lifeless plant type item.
