Jade
Im just curious what people think about jade plants as bonsai? I know that they are easy and they are real good for your first tree, but can you find any real good jade for bonsai? I have a reason for these questions and I will show you my reason soon.

Personally, I don't care for jade as bonsai but I do have to say that one of the local bonsai shops has one that would make your head spin! 4"+ trunk with unbelievable ramification!
I say, if you like it GO FOR IT!!! Adam |

I happen to like Jade bonsais quite a bit! They are, as you said, very easy to care for. Plus, they just look interesting. They look as though they are from another planet or something... I posted a picture of my favorite jade that I have...

You can find something interesting for you going this link
http://www.bonsainorthwest.com.au/a...eySept2003.html My opinion - this is not bonsai, but if you have time and wish - why not to experiment and train yourself ![]() |

Jur, I see what you mean with the little jade branches in that "hebel" fake rock stuff. However, that Jade in the bonsai pot that they begin and end with in the pictures is quite a nice tree. I don't see anything about it that would exclude it from our present bonsai categories. I'd be pretty proud of myself if I could pull off something like that and the texture of the branches and leaves make it look so unique.
Hope the weather cooperates for you michindi... i'm looking forward to that pic.
