Yes, you can repot them together (assuming they are healthy) taking care not to accidently separate the touching trunks. Here's one I'm working on:
http://forum.bonsaitalk.com/showthr...p?threadid=4323 This project has progressed nicely. I've wired the "branches" to weep down and will repot into a growth container later this month. This tree has lots of new, smaller leaves everywhere. I may also add a few more trunks on the outside to "fatten" it up. On the benjamina, do not defoliate a branch or it will die. Be sure to leave a leaf or two on each branch. Good luck.

wow! that is sure going to be beautiful! As I was looking for images and inspiration today, I found an example of a twisted ficus using many small trunks on this page: http://the.sunnyspot.org/green/
I almost peed my pants too when I saw pictures of hedera helix bonsai... I LOVE ivy... had no idea they could be bonsai'd! |
