hey all
my camera isnt working at the moment so i cant post a pic of the problem im afraid! just a description! my fukien has small marks on it - mainly on the underside of the leaves but on some of the tops as well. they are really dark, pretty much black on the bottom, and are either dots, splotches or lines. i dont know how old the fukien is, but i have had it a little over a month and it seems to be doing fine besides these marks - plennty of new growth, and quite a few buds waiting to flower. there has been the occasional dark brown leaf falling off, but i put that down to a change in its environment. the frosts outside and the general crap weather of the north of england means i am keeping it indoors on a humidity tray in good, but not direct sunlight. i mist it twice daily to keep humidity up.
do you think i should try a fungicide spray? i know this species is annoyingly fussy! if so, should i water it down slightly so as not to damage the tree?
help appreciated
danny
Edit: oh i should add that not all the leaves are affected. maybe 20%-25%, on mainly the older leaves but on some of the newer also. i also water every two days when the compost is almost but not quite dry in a good draining compost
