Ficus Dropping Leaves

I have an adult Ficus Retusa. I know that from time to time it will drop a leaf or two. But lately it seems its dropping too many, too often.

Before dropping, the leaves always get a sort of yellowish-brown pattern in the veins. Since this is so regular, I'm thinking I must be consistently doing something wrong.

Too much water? Not enough? Root problems? Anybody know?
