Dormant Spray Lime Sulfur
-is dormant spray, lime sulfur at 28% an acceptable alternative for jin treatment?

To preserve deadwood you want to use lime sulpher full strength. Straight from the bottle. Paint it on a small paint brush.

...and the wood needs to be seasoned for awhile to accept the sulphur. You can't expect it to penetrate freshly peeled wood. Curious thing is, after the wood does dry out, the lime-sulphur will penetrate better if you spray the wood with a little water first.
