Comercial Chinese elm

Hello! This is my Chinese elm whom I've got like a gift on last spring! As you can see, this is typical comercial bonsai tree. I've puted it in a bigger pot because it was shocked with a change of the place! Here it is now! I know that he needs pruning, but here in Montenegro, the winter is coming, and I must let theese new branches become more "woody"! I'm going to prune him next Spring, and return him in bonsai pot! What do you think, should I prune those two lowest branches?

aleska, i would suggest leaving the tree in a nursery pot and letting it grow freely all next year, then maybe pruning and repotting the following year. this will allow for more branching and foliage to develope so that you have more to work with for the initial styling. hope this helps.
