Can you scan a leaf? so we can see closely, also take a photo of one of the sides of the shoots so we can see how the leaves are arranged along the stem. Also a side photo of the whole tree may help.

For the watering, until we get it identified, if you insert a chopstick, or a thin piece of wood into the soil, you can take this out everyday and check to see if it needs watering, if the stick is moist the tree can be left, if the stick is dry give the tree a water. Water until water runs out of the bottom of the pot, leave it half an hour, and then do it again.
Good luck, -Matt-

Guys I know that I have written it’ s not Ilex crenata. Maybe is not crenata, but I believe it’s belong to Ilex family. I was looking all over the net and pictures of Ilex bonsai trees are the closest to like my tree is looking. Quote:
No need for apology man!!! I now that you wanted to help me and that mean a lot to me! OK? I have putted three new pictures. I couldn’t scan leaf, but I took I very close picture. Hope that helps? And there are two others pictures, I whole tree and one little bit closer to the tree. You can see the difference in amount of leaves on my tree! I will try to water it like you said, mattbonsai1. But what all of you think, should I mist it in the morning or afternoon?? And I have putted some tiny rocks in humidity tray with little water (the roots are not touching rocks or wather), because the tree is still indoors and my flat is pretty warm, and air is dry so he can get some humidity form the rocks. What about that? |

Guys I’m almost sure that my three is Ilex vomitoria!! I have found this picture of leaves (I putted as attachment) and looks very similar if not the same to leaves that my bonsai tree has. I couldn’t find any yung bonsai three so the three skin doesn’t look the same but I think it is because of the difference in years. What you think is this my kind of tree??
And this is not bonsai three leaf on the picture so it’s bigger, and so we can se those lines that goes thru much better. I hope that is only reason why leaves are not completely the same? |
