afraid for my Juniper

I just recently repotted my juniper procumbens nana into a smaller pot. What are some signs that it's not taking the pruning or the pot well? What are some things I can do for it if it is in fact dying? Advice is greatly appreciated, thanks alot.

Death cycle of the Juniper

Guest, here is a typical death cycle of the juniper. *Please note that this is not directed at you specifically. *The fact that you actually tried to repot your tree puts you well ahead of the game *

DAY 1: Grower visits bonsai kiosk in mall or nursery/garden center and buys a bonsai juniper. *Grower puts tree in a dark "sunny window" or on top of the television set.
DAY 2: Grower waters bonsai
DAY 5: Grower waters bonsai
DAY 7: Foliage loses its luster. *This usually goes unnoticed
DAY 9: Foliage loses turgidity. *Foliage is no longer lush, begins to dry out. *Again, this sometimes escapes notice because:
DAY 13: Foliage becomes darker in color
DAY 14: Grower waters bonsai
DAY 15: Grower waters bonsai
DAY 16: Grower overwaters bonsai
DAY 17: Grower mists bonsai
WEEK 3: Branches begin to wither, looks like wrinkled orange peel
WEEK 4:Foliage turns brown.
WEEK 5:Grower visits bonsaiTALK forum and asks, "What's wrong?"
WEEK 6: Grower removes bonsai from the top of the television and puts it in the back yard.
WEEK 7: Grower either gives up or buys a new bonsai and starts at WEEK 7.

Note: Don't confuse the lignification of branches with the death of the tree. *As a juniper grows, older branches will turn from green to brown as the wood forms. *This is normal. Note that these are the older branches, not the new growth at the branch tips, which should remain lush and green.

If new growth tips and buds turn brown, wither and die, there is a definite problem.

Hope you find this humorous if not helpful.

Regards,

Matt
