Acacia Galinii (Paperback)

I was given an Acacia Galinii (Paperback) Bonsai a month ago,
and am concerned about the fact that her leaves are turning yellow
and falling off. Is this normal and if not, what can I do in order to
prevent this from happening?

Many thanks - your advise would be greatly appreciated.

Paula.. a lil more info is needed.. where are you.. zonewise.. where is the tree being kept. When changing a tree environment there is a certain amount of shock.. so.. depending on how different change will determine the degree of shock to the plant.
Monkey Thorn (Acacia Galpinii) is a tropical plant..
I have the Acacia farnesiana which is similiar.
..use the search at the bottom of the page .. loads of info..and pics for possible styles.

Hi Tom,

As you can tell I am a beginner at all this - having to learn the hard way.
I don't quite know what zone I'm in but I stay in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. My bonsai is being keep outside under
roofing. I have had a look at Hank's Acacia Galpinii and it is very similar to his, although his is a lot fuller - not loosing leaves like mine............

Thanks for your reply.

Cheers

P

If you are in Cape Town, South Africa it would appear that you are in the range of zones 9-11.
