Malathion suspected in Vandalism
Curtis Harris woke Sunday morning to find his pond covered with an unusual white foam and his fish dead. The fishes’ value was estimated at $10,000. Harris said he believes vandals used a type of pesticide called Malathion, which can be used to kill fish without harming vegetation.
Read the full story NOTE: Malathion, a common pesticide frequently used by bonsai enthusiasts is very toxic to fish and other aquatic life. Spray in the early morning on calm days and be aware that the pesticide can drift. Follow manufacturer precautions when handling and using pesticides.
