Our Pond
[color=Red:1671fa79ed][/color:1671fa79ed]
![]() Thanks very much for setting up this pond forum. *I now have a pond question. * My pond is new only completed this year. *I have 4 koi, 10 golden orf, and I think 5 gold fish. *One of the gold fish has white fluffy stuff around its mouth, does anyone know what it is? This is my pond web site:- http://www.homestead.com/ourpond |

Re: Our Pond
It may be a mouth fungus, I think it is actually a bacteria. *Here is a link with some info. *If you search on "koi mouth fungus" you'll find more.
When I had a similar infection on the body of a koi it was recommended that I net the fish and swab the area with Betadine. (that's an iodine-based product) *You could look at one of the links such as this one for medication, but it's usually impractical to medicate the entire pond. *A sick tank or medicated food might be a better idea. Regards, Matt
