Thumbs up I got the book today

The postman brought my copy of Bonsai Masterclass - By A Worlds Top Expert Peter Chan that I won form Ebay. Had a quick look through and read the first chapter and I'm quite impressed (Read the section concerning aesthetics, wabi and Sabi, which made good sense)
Theres some big chops in this book and its rather inspiring!

(I have another of his books (Creating Bonsai from Everyday Plants) which deals mainly with nursery stock and is more along the lines of instant gratification, but is good for beginners with little time.)

I wonder if he has a website....

Thanks for posting this link Pootsie. I haven't seen this website before; their trees are quite spectacular. I was quite shocked at all the wisteria and flowering bonsai they have there. Great Post.
All the best,
JDL

Hi Larry,

Bonsai Masterclass is an excellent book. I bought mine from E-bay over 18 months ago now, but it proved incredibly useful as its packed full of techniques and information and pictures.

Harry Tomlinson's "Complete Book of Bonsai" is another brilliant book, with stunning photography of some breath taking bonsai. Again, I picked it up on E-bay only a few weeks ago for a very good price. Its RRP is £16.00 - I paid £6 including postage - gotta love it .

I would recommend either of these two books to anyone just starting off in Bonsai.

Happy reading!

Regards,

Aaron
