The Danny Use Collection at Ginkgo ++

A while back I read this thread on IBC. http://internetbonsaiclub.org/index...3&topic=17373.0

I told my GF about hte videos and reminded her that christmas was comming up fast. Not really thinking that she would get them for me cause she hates my trees and all th etime that I spend with them.
Anyway, today we got to exchange gifts with one another. I got her 1/4 carot diamod earrings, and a meditation journal.

She got me both of the DVD's mentioned in the IBC thread!!!!!!!!

These are some truely remarkable videos. I recomend them to everyone. the Danny Use Collection is a tribute to over 100 truely awesome trees. Filmed very well, you kind of get lost in all of the images. . .the camera zooming in and out of the inside branch structure, and nebari, and jin, and other interesting points of the trees.

The Works of Divinity (Shinji Suzuki) video is a year in the life of a bonsai master. It doesnt show him really in depth working on trees and explaining and so on. But it is more of a documentary on Suzuki, him getting ready for the Sakufu-ten (I think I spelled that right) bonsai exhibition in Japan. He does do a few transformation of older (400 years) tree.

I highly recomend these videos to all of you. Very inperational.

BTW you can get them through Bill Valavanis.

Oh and she also gave me a subscription of Bonsai Today and Bonsai Europe.

Maybe shes starting to losen up a bit, I dont know.
Let me just say thanks Bill Valavanis for making these DVDs avalible to us all.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
THANK YOU SUNSHINE(yes that is her real name) I LOVE YOU!

-Paul

She "hates" your trees? How can you hate trees?
Anyway, the Danny Use DVD is great isen't it? A friend in Holland sent it to me. The Recent Ginko exibit should be out soon. Or maybe it is already.
Good to hear of other meditators in the family

I might be wrong but i think the exhibit book comes out in february, i cant remember 100% though. Might look into getting those videos at some point, the collection is truly amazing if you get the chance to visit in person, well worth it!!
