Buy Bonsai Techniques I Or II First?
I am going to buy one of the two John Naka books from Dallas Bonsai, as much as I would like to buy both at the same time, I am only going to be able to go with one for now. Which of the two would you go with first? I was leaning toward II, b/c it was a larger book, is II made up of information from I as well as new content? Or is it a complete new book?
Thanks! Jeff |

Bonsai Tech I is geared towards introductory bonsai elements and design. I personally would start with this one.
BT II is more advanced, and more technical. Geared towards those past intermediate steps. Get this one after you have read through I. OR Buy both if ya can. Paul

My wife got me BT-I two Christmas ago, and my Mom got me BT-2 this last Christmas. I am glad I read them in order from introductory then intermediate.
Don't discount joining a club, where you will have access to a club library that likely will have dozens more books. |

Start with #1. There is so much in this book to digest. It's not got alot of color and fancy transformations but just good solid bonsai backround.
You too will be able to say "Well John Says..."
