Phil the word you search for is mame, check at Stone Lantern Publishing, and the ABS American Bonsai Society, Pauline M might have some articles at her site, she does a ton of them.uth

Can't really produce any books, but here are some sites concerning Mame:

http://www.shohin-europe.com/
http://wafu.web.infoseek.co.jp/cgi-...m/sm_albums.cgi
http://www.bonsai4me.com/gallery%20mame.htm

Hope you find something to help you.

cheers from Holland, Wessel

Ayup Phil,

Well it depends what you're looking for, one very good picture book is Modern Bonsai. Check it out here:

http://forum.bonsaitalk.com/f11/mod...books-7683.html

You might want to check out some of Bonsaials' other posts as he has some good ones on Shohin.

A good magazine is Bonsai World, its in Japanese but you can just about make out whats going on and they have alot of articles on Shohin/Mame.

Cheers

G'day Phil...

Miniatures?

The only book I am familiar with is MINIATURE BONSAI by Herb L. Gustafson, a North American Bonsai Artist. Distributed in Great Britain by Cassell PLC.

He talks about Miniature Bonsai - Keshitsubo, Shito, Shohin, Mame, Komono...from 1-3" to 6-10".

Well done book.

Pat
