"The book is a very good one, but not worth $100+ by any means. If you are patient you can look through sites like Alibris and wait for one to come up. That's how I got mine a while back."

I'd definitely concur. I own ALOT of bonsai books--including this one. It's not worth $100, much less $175. Nice, but not THAT nice. Won't make you John Naka, or produce any Eureka moments.

That much money is better spent on an actual nicer piece of AZALEA stock...

I have been patience for five years now and haven't seen it anywhere. And I've used a lot of book search engines like http://www.usedbooksearch.co.uk ... I think I've waited and searched long enough And if I want something very bad .... money is no issue for me ..... I would have paided 100 dollar more .....

Then it's reallly not an issue of the book being "good" as in informative as much as it being "good" as a collector's item. There is qite a bit of difference. Congratulations on that money thing

Yes, You're right. I didn't even know what was in the book. It's a collectors item for me... Like the other signed Naka and Yuji Yoshimura books I have.

for what it's worth, if you're looking for a bonsai azalea book that has alot of useful info, try "Floral Treasures of Japan" or "Satsuki" by Alexander Kennedy. they don't cost $175
