From Bonsai Today 95 issue1 2005
Deborah Koreshoff's 'Bonsai - It's art, science, history and philosophy.' By Charles Ceronio- Bonsai Today "It was and is one of the best bonsai books. Good enough to actually read rather than just look at the pictures. You could learn something too, like how the roots grow and absorb nutrients and what this has to do with the soil you choose and how often you water." "Another thing I like about Deborah's book is her illustrations. Hundreds of powerfully rendered drawings that clarify styles and techniques in ways most photos can't touch." It's called the Bible round these parts! Happy Growing Tai Last edited by taipan : 13-Oct-2005 at 05:10 AM. Reason: reel badd spullin |

I've just picked up a copy of "The bonsai hand book" by D prescott. For a total novice like me, i think it's a good book for the plant directory alone. It's a nice hardback, with lots of pictures and well drawn diagrams. I especially like the Chinese Juniper, in the raft style. Mainly because the garden centres near me stock a lot of different sized and priced juniper bushes
