I am not a computer geek... this is what I have you for Angel.... However I have to remark that I am laughing myself silly that your VERY FIRST POST ends up being about GEEK stuff... <risata>

Hiya, Brian!
Welcome back. Keep gettin' better. We'll be thinking "good thoughts" and "healthy bonsai" at you! On the poll....I'm stuck with Win98 and and an aging 'puter. Was supposed to have a new toy (and WinVista) by now, but "life happens". Anyhow, toy is on indefinite hold. Besides, from what I can tell, my film scanner (and maybe printer) doesn't have a new driver. I positively LOATH system (hence, 'puter) changes...  On the other hand, new digiCam won't talk to 'puter 'til I do upgrade systems. Just can't win. Re. "Graphics" vs. "Text" - no strong feeling without knowing better what that means (specific examples) - so I didn't check that. All for now....

The main thing about "Graphics" vs. "Text" is that with a graphic software, you use your mouse and can add pictures of your bonsais, for example, and a text software would run in a console and there would generally be nothing more than <color> writings on a black background.
You know what it is anyway. I was mainly speaking of a bonsai software, mainly for keeping track of plants.
