Exclamation PLEASE READ: Unique Registration Policy

In the interest of preserving the user experience here at bonsaiTALK, it's become necessary that we take a firm stance with respect to the usage of multiple usernames on bonsaiTALK. Having unique registrations has become more important recently as the forum evolves, with members participating in contests, auctions and chats, and other activities that require a more formal environment.

Each bonsaiTALK participant may only hold one account in one username. The only exceptions will be in unique cases when administrative staff needs to maintain more than one account for test purposes or administration of contests, articles, etc.

1. From this point forward, holders of multiple accounts will have to make a decision as to which account each will maintain.

IP addresses are logged during access, so it is not too difficult to determine when someone is abusing this policy. We recognize that there may be legitimate reasons why people have had to re-register - for a forgotten password or changed email account, for example. But please note: from this point forward, each regular member should maintain only one username on bonsaiTALK.

2. If you have questions about this policy you can contact any moderator. If you'd like to deactivate a past account, you can just PM me - while logged into that account - and request to have it closed. If you no longer have access to that account, just let me know and I will send a test email to the recipient (hopefully you) with a notice that the account will be closed in 30 days unless we hear otherwise.

3. If you have reason to believe that someone is abusing this policy, you may contact a moderator with details.

Please be advised that failure to comply with the registration policy may result in the loss of forum privileges, or bannination!

Regards,

Matt

Thanks to all who have responded. We have been able to eliminate half a dozen duplicate / redundant IDs! Remember you can drop me a PM either from the original or the redundant account, just specify which you want removed and we'll follow up from there.

Regards,

Matt
