A special "commendation" was also requested by the judges with regards to the Tokonoma display used in entry #2. This was thought to be very well executed, but without a more detailed photograph of the tree itself, it was hard to decide how it was constructed, and hence unfair to include this under the exact specification criteria of materials.

The judges all thought the standards far exceeded their expectations and would like to express their appreciation to all who entered and indeed, Matt, for coming up with such an original and thought provoking competition.

I, like all of us I guess, are just itching to put the names to each entry.
