What are pipe cleaners?
Pipe cleaners are a utilitarian object that sort of found its own following as a craft item, like popsicle sticks. Pipe cleaners were twisted bits of wire that had some flocking trapped between the twists. They were originally used for cleaning the stems of smoking pipes (hence the name) but over time they became popular for crafting, and were made in a variety of colors. ![]() If there is a craft store in your area (Michael's Crafts or Joanne Fabric Store) you can probably find pipe cleaners. They usually cost about a nickel each. You can find them in natural shades or assortments. I found some assortments containing mostly greens and browns, about 50 pieces for $3. Or you could also try Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/90-packages-of-...1QQcmdZViewItem Or Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...lance&n=1064954 Regards, Matt ![]() Regards, Matt
