Now that the contest is over and we wait only on Walter's comments on the finalist, I'd like to say that this has been a great contest in many ways such as participation, prizes, talent, contributions of time and effort by many, and voting. This was one of our best contests ever!

This year was the first year we used hidden entrant names as a feature, I would like to here your thoughts on this.

Thanks Matt, without you and your guidance, none of this would be possible.

Thanks again!!!

Will and Matt and all of those who contributed:

This was my first contest and I enjoyed every minute of it. I love getting such helpfull coments. I will enjoy sharing this tree knowing that it was my first "contest" tree. (and certainly not my last).

With regards to the hidden names, it is great. It levels the playing field for us newbies to truly be judged on our trees and their merits, and not on "popularity" (if you will!).

I look forward to many contests in the future!

Matt

It would be nice to see everyone that entered post a thread showing the how's and why's of their design.

I wonder if Matt would use the entries as "tree of the day" subjects?

Great way to do it because it does level the field and no-body knows who tree is who's.

Way to go to all who took the time to settup this contest and to all will made the prizes avalible. I bow before both Matt & Will.

Jay has made an interesting observation that I feel warrants repeating. It would seem that with our blind voting this time, the public came very close to selecting the same placement as Walter did. First place and second place are the same, third and fourth are swapped, but fifth is the same.

Hats off to all of you that voted!
